Who is Harrison Lane?

Harrison Lane is the lead character in the Dr Harrison Lane mystery series. He’s a fictional psychologist, who heads up the UK police’s Ritualistic Behavioural Crime unit. Harrison also has some other special skills, including he’s an expert tracker. He was trained by his step-father, a Shadow Wolf, one of the elite native American trackers, who work with US drug enforcement, patrolling the borders.

What does Harrison Lane do?

He helps the police to track down those who hide behind religion, superstition, and folklore to create fear and commit crimes. He uses his expert knowledge in both psychology and ritualistic behaviours, to profile suspects and seek justice for victims. Quite often he saves lives too.

Where did Harrison Lane come from?

Apart from the imagination of writer, Gwyn GB, Dr Harrison Lane has lived all over the UK and in the USA. He lived in Wales and England before going to America when he was a child. He stayed there for several years before returning to the UK with his mother.

What about Harrison’s family?

Harrison never knew his father, there is no name on his birth certificate and his mother never told him who he was. His mother travelled around looking for spiritual awakening and didn’t keep in contact with her own parents. When Harrison was still young, she was said to have committed suicide, but he is 100% convinced it was murder. This is what has driven him in his life and career.

Does Harrison have a partner?

In Broken Angels, Harrison is single. He’s not keen on getting into a relationship because he worries it will ruin his concentration and distract him. He’s also a little scared of something happening to somebody he has become attached to. This is because he blames himself for not protecting his mother.

What are Harrison Lane’s hobbies?

He is an expert in Tae Kwon Do, and helps out at a youth club in London, trying to give young people a focus other than street violence. He also likes to get out of London to practice his tracking skills because he’s concerned they will deteriorate unless regularly used. Harrison’s beloved Harley Davidson motorbike is his other passion.

Where does Harrison Lane live?

Harrison lives in a converted disused warehouse in Docklands, London. He has the top floor which looks out over the river Thames.

What does Harrison Lane look like?

Apart from the fact he is tall, at 6 feet 2”, muscular and very fit, has brown eyes and black hair – the rest is up to you. Gwyn wanted Harrison to be everyone’s hero and so she has never stated what his skin colour is, or gone into detail about what he looks like. All we know is that his mother was blond, but his father? That’s up to you.
